"For educators accustomed to making and enforcing absolute rules, letting the inmates take part in running the asylum," is an appropriate quote for the "MEdia Generation," but must strike fear in to the heart of faculty and administration. Relinquishing control to students to learn on their own through the use of technology is daunting at best, especially for an institution that has traditionally done things the same way for hundreds of years. Having a very smart nine year old who will be expecting this technology in school will be an interesting process to engage in.
